Cajon girls’ basketball making a mark in Arizona

Cajon girls’ basketball has sure looked good in Arizona at the Tournament of Champions. The Cowgirls aren’t playing in either of the top two divisions, but they have beaten a couple of Southland teams.

Cajon, ranked No. 19 in The Times’ preseason top 25, defeated No. 10 Chatsworth, 51-39, and on Friday beat Bishop Montgomery, 59-42.

Bishop Montgomery was unranked, but looked good in the Redondo tournament and probably will be in the top 25 when it gets updated after the Christmas tournaments.

Cajon is going to play Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton later today for the Gold Division championship.
