More college signings, this time from San Marcos

A couple San Marcos athletes signed with Division I programs on Wednesday.

Hurdling star Lyndsay Pearson signed with Oregon and water polo sniper Christine Goetsch signed with Maryland.

Pearson, the defending Santa Barbara County champion in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles, finished fifth in the 300 hurdles at the 2007 CIF State championships. She also competes on the Royals’ cross-country and basketball teams.

Goetsch is a two-time All-Channel League selection and has 147 career goals. In addition, she packs a 4.63 GPA. Nice.
