It’s gotta stink losing to your league foe, not once, not twice, but three times in one season.

That’s what happened just now. Whittier Christian schooled Maranatha for the third time this season after beating the Minutemen twice in Alpha League play. This time, it happened in the grandest setting -- the Southern Section Division V-AA finals -- as the Heralds rolled to a 37-31 victory at the Pyramid in Long Beach.

Whittier Christian’s Amy Woodward led all scorers with 10 points.
