With freshman Austin McBroom’s 30-point performance Friday for Campbell Hall, it’s clear the Vikings aren’t going to be hurting with the graduation of Jrue Holiday.

In fact, Coach Terry Kelly was already looking forward to next season after the Vikings’ 83-61 victory in the state Division IV final this afternoon at Arco Arena in Sacramento.

Besides McBroom, 6-foot-6 junior Keegan Hornbuckle and 6-6 sophomore James Johnson return. And supposedly there’s a talented 6-3 freshman set to enroll this fall at the North Hollywood campus.

McBroom isn’t finished making an impact as a freshman. He reports to baseball practice on Monday, and the word is he’s a terrific shortstop.

‘My pops says baseball is my strength,’ McBroom said.

‘Isn’t that scary,’ Kelly said.
