Effective immediately, a running clock will be used at football games in the Orange County-based Freeway League when a team reaches a 42-point lead at any time during the second half of a game at all levels.

The league includes Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Sonora, Sunny Hills and Troy. The rule was approved by principals and athletic directors.
