Football: Morgan gives Taft a lift

Hard running from USC commit D.J. Morgan has given Taft a 7-0 lead over Birmingham with 4:45 left in the second quarter. Morgan scored on a seven-yard run. But he also had runs of 20, six and 13 yards during a 46-yard drive.
Taft’s defense has been in complete control of this game. If the Patriots don’t wake up soon, it’s going to be Taft celebrating a West Valley League title.
