Boys’ basketball: Mayes gets hot for Westchester

The hot shooting of Jordin Mayes ignited a 10-0 Westchester run following a timeout, and the Comets have taken a 19-17 lead over Fairfax after one quarter of the Western League battle.

Mayes, a junior guard, scored nine points in the quarter, including a pair of three-pointers.
