Baseball: Ex-players don’t fade away, they form a band

What do former high school baseball standouts do when their playing days are over? They form a band, of course.

That’s what Ryan Cowsill from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Peter Tuber from Granada Hills and Erik Hagstrom from Granada Hills have done. They’re The Cocanuts, and they’re scheduled to have their first show on Saturday at the Whiskey A Go Go in Los Angeles.

Tuber played on the 1994 Northridge Little League team with Matt Cassel that made it to the Little League World Series. He’s lead guitar and vocalist. See below for a taste of Tuber’s singing.
