Baseball: Cory Hahn, Mater Dei are in control

Cory Hahn has hit a three-run home run and allowed only three hits on the mound as Santa Ana Mater Dei leads Camarillo, 6-0, after six innings of a Southern Section Division 1 second-round playoff game.

Derek Campbell hit a home run in the first inning for the Monarchs, who also have a two-run double from Ty Moore. Hahn, a left-hander trying to improve to 12-1, has struck out six and walked one.

In a Division 2 game, top-seeded Glendora leads North Hollywood-Harvard-Westlake, 5-0, in the fifth inning.
