4 Missing Children Found Safe

Four children missing since late Thursday from their Lennox area home were located this morning after an intensive search by sheriff’s deputies. They were found walking along Slauson Avenue near Crenshaw, officers said. No details were available on where they had been.

The children, aged 6 to 11, were reported missing by their mother, Bertha Mae Parker, 31, about midnight. Parker, who had left the children about 10 p.m. to go to work, asked a neighbor to check on the children. They were not home when she arrived. The children had been reported missing several times before, police said.
