A Los Angeles man was indicted on charges of swindling an Arizona bank out of $1,000 and a Phoenix man out of $175,000 by using forged signatures of President Reagan, Texas oil millionaires Nelson Bunker Hunt and W. Herbert Hunt and others. Glenn Epple, 32, who was arrested June 19 in Los Angeles, is accused of having defrauded Robert Kohnen, president of a Phoenix electrical contracting firm, by showing him a bogus agreement with the Hunt brothers to provide financial backing for a movie studio to be built in Hawaii. He is also accused of obtaining money from a bank presenting letters of support on which the names of President Reagan, Internal Revenue Service Director Roscoe Egger and then-Secretary of the Treasury Donald T. Regan had been forged.
