Armand Hammer, the 87-year-old chairman and chief executive of Los Angeles-based Occidental Petroleum, was discharged from UCLA Medical Center after minor prostate surgery.”He’s going home today and he feels fine,” said Frank Ashley, an Occidental vice president. Ashley declined to elaborate on Hammer’s condition, but in response to a question he said the surgery detected no signs of malignancy.
