The city manager of Cincinnati has been selected to fill the San Diego city manager’s post. Sylvester Murray, city manager of Cincinnati since 1979, was selected by unanimous vote by the City Council over five other finalists to fill San Diego’s top administrative post. Mayor Roger Hedgecock said he had been in contact with Murray, 43, who accepted the offer subject to negotiations over salary. Murray currently earns $80,000 annually in Cincinnati.
