Freeway Crash Victim Identified
The Riverside County coroner’s office has identified the victim of a fatal traffic accident on the Riverside Freeway as Vivian F. Ramos, 43, of San Bernardino, a spokeswoman said Thursday.
Ramos, who is also known as Vivian Rodrigues, was driving east on the freeway Tuesday night when her car plunged down a steep embankment, according to Officer Dick Heatley of the California Highway Patrol .
The car rolled over, ejecting its five occupants and landing on top of Ramos. She died at the scene.
Passenger Priscilla Chavez, 14, of San Bernardino was reported in stable condition Thursday at Riverside General Hospital. She suffered a broken leg and a possible neck injury, police said.
Treated for minor injuries were Rosie Guzman, 17, and Renee Montoya, 3, both of San Bernardino, and Anthony Dean Reynoso, 25, of Corona.
The accident occurred about a a mile east of Interstate 15, Heatley said.
