A deputy coroner investigating the mysterious death of a 21-year-old man found hanging from a tree next to Interstate 805 in Chula Vista said Sunday that the autopsy showed no signs of foul play, but investigators have ruled out suicide. Chuck Bolton, a deputy San Diego County coroner, said an autopsy Sunday on the body of Jeffrey Scott Hanson of Chula Vista suggested Hanson died of asphyxia due to hanging, but, “We’re sure it was not a suicide.”
