A Balmy Holiday Outlook

Share

Obviously, there will be no white Christmas for San Diego. But perhaps the next best thing is balmy temperatures and sunny skies.

A strong high-pressure system hanging over the Pacific Northwest will keep the clouds away and temperatures in the 70s for at least five days, said Frank Perdue, a forecaster for the National Weather Service.

In the coastal areas, there will be some haziness and morning low clouds, otherwise sunny and fair through Thursday. Daytime temperatures today will be in the high 70s. The overnight low will be about 50, and Thursday’s high will be about 76 degrees.

Inland areas will be clear and sunny, with temperatures today of about 85. Thursday’s high should be a few degrees cooler. Nighttime temperatures both days will be about 48.
