Local News in Brief : 16-Year-Old Arrested in Shooting at Lake
Police arrested a 16-year-old Westlake Village boy on suspicion of shooting at two construction workers Aug. 13, police said Sunday.
The boy’s name was not released because of his age. Aiming through a drainage channel from a boat on Westlake, police said he fired a shotgun at the two men. He was arrested Friday and has since been released in the custody of his parents, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Charles Marshall said.
The two victims, Jesse Corralejo, 22, of Oxnard and Howard Wortman, 42, of Camarillo were treated for superficial pellet wounds at a local hospital and released.
