90 AIDS Cases in L.A. County Reported in July

There were 90 new cases of AIDS in Los Angeles County during July, bringing the county’s total of those suffering from the disease to 2,039, health officials reported.
Fifty-seven percent of those with acquired immune deficiency syndrome have died, accounting for 1,161 deaths, county Supervisor Ed Edelman said.
The July total was down slightly from 97 reported cases in June.
