USC’s Peete Says Leg Is Holding Up, So Far
USC quarterback Rodney Peete said his left leg felt good and was holding up Sunday after the Trojans put on pads for the first time after working out in shorts.
Peete tore his Achilles tendon Dec. 28 against Alabama in the Aloha Bowl game and then went through an extensive rehabilitation process.
“Except for scrimmages, the quarterbacks are not engaged in live contact,” Peete said, adding that he isn’t protected, though, by wearing a different colored jersey that is supposed to alert the defense not to hit him.
