About 100 arrest warrants for alleged drunken drivers were issued for a sweep by Los Angeles County marshals and the district attorney’s office after the defendants failed to appear in court. At least seven people were arrested in the first three hours of the two-day pre-New Year’s sweep, Deputy Marshal Tom Hunt said. They were booked for investigation of failing to appear in court to face charges, Hunt said, adding that the sweep would continue today.
