Oral Roberts and God’s ‘Threat’
This is in regard to Oral Roberts’ claim that unless he was able to raise $4.5 million by March that God would strike him dead. If God wanted to he could raise $4.5 million from the sand on the seashore.
I have been a Christian for several years, and contrary to most popular belief, the majority of us are not gullible or naive. This is one Christian who would never think of donating money to a cause that might hinder a brother from the glorious afterlife that God has ordained for us from the foundation of the world.
In response to Cal Thomas’ excellent column, there is a church thriving in the catacombs of modern society. Those who “remain under the bright glare of klieg lights” more often than not do not speak for it.
