A Rosemead man who allegedly fled from a traffic accident that claimed two lives has been booked on suspicion of murder and drunk driving, Arcadia police said. Armando Garcia, 37, was being treated for facial cuts at the jail ward of County-USC Medical Center, where he was being held without bail, Sgt. Tim Murray said. Garcia was arrested after officers conducted a house-to-house search in a neighborhood near Colorado Boulevard and Vaquero Road, where the collision occurred, Murray said. Garcia allegedly ran from the accident after his car collided head-on with a second vehicle, Murray said. Two men in the second car were killed. Their identities were withheld until relatives could be notified.
