French Court Lifts Seizure Order on Khashoggi Plane
Saudi Arabian businessman Adnan Khashoggi took off from Paris in one of his luxury private aircraft Sunday after a French court lifted a seizure order imposed on the plane, officials at Le Bourget airport said.
Khashoggi, a key figure in the Iran- contra scandal, boarded the DC-8 for Nice. Airport officials said they did not know if Nice was his final destination.
The aircraft was seized at Le Bourget last week under a court order obtained by Lonrho, a British mining and trading company that maintains that Khashoggi failed to repay a debt.
