Creel, McGovern Win Pairs

Kellie Lynn Creel of Orange and David McGovern of Long Beach on Saturday night won the gold medal in junior pairs figure skating at the U.S. Championships at Tacoma, Wash.

Michelle Laughlin of Indianapolis and Mark Naylor of Harrisburg, Pa., won the silver medal.

In the free dance competition, Jennifer and Jeffrey Benz, a sister and brother team from Murrysville, Pa., finished first, overtaking early leaders Ann-Morton Neale of Mount Lebanon, Pa., and Dee Pascoe of Belleview, Mich.
