Unfortunately, Too Many Others Share Mr. Campanis’ View
After watching Al Campanis on “Nightline” Monday night, I was embarrassed. For the first time in 27 years, I was ashamed to admit my Dodger blue loyalty. The overt racist attitudes of the Dodger general manager are indicative of the underlying racial problems that exist in America today. Problems that are equally detrimental to society as the current drug problems.
Forty years ago, the Dodger organization cast its vote against racism. I think reaffirmation is now called for. Please make me a proud Dodger fan again.
