El Dorado Will Face Crespi Today in 4-A Quarterfinals
El Dorado High School will play Crespi today at 3:15 in the quarterfinals of the Southern Section 4-A baseball playoffs at Los Angeles Valley College. The game was moved from Friday because Crespi is holding graduation exercises.
The second-seeded Golden Hawks (21-4) have scored 13 runs in each of their two playoff games, defeating Culver City, 13-2, in the first round and Simi Valley, 13-4, in Tuesday’s second round. Crespi (21-5-1), the Del Rey League champion, advanced after a 5-2 victory over Crescenta Valley in the first round and a 5-3 victory over Mater Dei in the second.
In 4-A quarterfinal games Friday, top-seeded Esperanza (23-2) travels to Servite (21-5-1), and Ocean View travels to fourth-seeded Arcadia (20-5-1). In 3-A quarterfinals Friday, Villa Park (18-10) travels to Santa Maria to play Righetti (14-12-1), and Troy (19-6) will play host to second-seeded Alhambra (21-7).
Capistrano Valley (24-3), seeded second in the 2-A division, will travel to El Centro to play Central (18-5-1), and Laguna Hills (18-9) will play host to Mountain View (14-9).
