Judge’s Efforts to Help Teens
What a joyful article on Judge David O. Carter. His program to help teen-agers avoid Juvenile Hall by agreeing to attend school and do well shows a caring side of the law that one rarely sees. My congratulations to all 61 graduates.
So how can his replacement, Judge C. Robert Jameson, have any reservations about continuing the program? Look at the success rate (61 out of 66)!
Widespread programs like this one might have prevented the jail expansion controversy Orange County now faces.
