Phone Surcharge
I highly resent and protest the “Network Access for Interstate Calling” charge that is added to my phone bill every month. This is a completely dictatorial move on the part of the FCC; I consider it highly irregular and fraudulent. This service was not authorized by me and I have no use for same.
Why not have the telephone subscribers who make out-of-state calls pay for the maintenance of this equipment? That’s the fair way--the American way.
And to add further insult, I understand this charge is to be increased shortly--and will undoubtedly keep going up, even though the telephone companies are making more money than ever!
Where and when will it all end?
