About 250 food stackers, packers, graders, mechanics and other Teamsters Union employees of United Foods Inc. marched through Salinas to a rally to press their demands for a new contract. They have worked two years without one. Organizer Beverly Lewis said the workers are “fighting for job security.” Signs on the march included one that read, “Have You Hugged a Scab Today?”
