Anaheim 23, Fullerton 0--Joaquin Garcia rushed for 135 yards in 13 carries and scored a touchdown in Fullerton District Stadium. The Colonists scored all their points in the first half in Coach Ted Mullen’s Anaheim debut.

Fullerton managed just 36 yards in total offense in the first half to Anaheim’s 276. Garcia had 120 yards rushing in the half, including runs of 46 and 41 yards.

Anaheim scored early on an 11-yard pass from quarterback Robert Aldaz to Richard Ramirez. With 37 seconds left in the quarter, Craig Smith scored on a 24-yard run to make it 14-0. Aldaz’s 25-yard field goal made it 17-0, and Garcia finished the scoring with a one-yard run.
