Master’s Men Drop Basketball Opener
Westmont College defeated The Master’s, 85-65, in an NAIA District III season opener for both teams Saturday at Westmont.
The score was tied, 26-26, with five minutes left in the first half when Westmont went on a 16-6 run to take a 42-32 lead at the half.
Westmont connected on 22 of 27 free throws while Master’s made only 12 of 23. Rocky Shipes scored a team-high 21 points for Master’s and Phil Hahn contributed 17.
