Touring in Depth

We took Jerry Hulse’s advice to go on an “untour” with Idyll Ltd. so that we could return in depth to West Germany and Switzerland. We stayed three weeks in a furnished apartment in the medieval village of St. Goar on the Rhine River. Then we stayed two weeks in a furnished chalet apartment by Lake Thun near Interlaken with a marvelous view of the Swiss Alps. From both apartments we ventured frequently on day rail and ferry trips to places of interest. Everyone was friendly, and we felt part of the communities since we were living in our own apartments.
