Lakewood Home Awards Program Expected to Attracrt 300 Entrants

More than 300 residents are expected to enter their homes for judging in the eighth annual Lakewood Beautiful home awards program, which honors homes for displaying high standards of property maintenance, landscaping and overall appearance.

Homes entered in the competition can win distinguished recognition, neighborhood first place and grand prize honors. A special awards category--A New Look for Lakewood--recognizes homes that have been substantially remodeled.

Entrants are eligible to win awards ranging from plaques to gift certificates for dinner at Lakewood restaurants. Winners will be recognized at an awards reception June 12 at the Centre at Sycamore Plaza. The entry deadline for the contest is April 22. Entry forms are available from the Public Information Office at City Hall, 5050 Clark Ave.
