Former Cal State Northridge running back Mike Kane and former Cal Lutheran quarterback Russ Jensen were among 414 players who tried out at El Camino College on Tuesday for the Los Angeles Cobras of the Arena Football League.

Kane, 23, rushed for a school-record 3,572 yards at Northridge, including a single-season school-record 1,565 yards as a senior in 1986.

Jensen, 26, finished his career at Cal Lutheran in 1982 and played for the defunct Los Angeles Express of the United States Football League from 1983-85. He was on the L. A. Raiders’ injured reserve list during the 1985 season and was a member of the San Diego Chargers’ strike-replacement team last season.
