State officials said the driver of a tour bus that flipped over on Interstate 80 in the Sierra Nevada last week had his suspended driver’s license reinstated less than two months before the accident that injured 30 people, including himself. Moi Van Le, driver of the San Jose-based West Coast Line bus, had been cited at least five times for various violations while driving buses since 1985, according to Department of Motor Vehicles records. The California Highway Patrol said the alleged violations included driving with defective brakes, failing to display proper registration credentials, failing to yield to cars seeking to pass his bus and speeding. Le, 30, was driving a senior citizen group back to San Jose after a gambling trip to Reno when the accident occurred in snowy weather near Baxter, about 60 miles northeast of Sacramento.
