Owner Harold Ballard of the Toronto Maple Leafs was listed in serious but stable condition after being admitted to a hospital for the second time in two months.

Ballard, an 84-year-old diabetic with a history of heart problems, was admitted to Toronto’s Wellesley Hospital Sunday. A hospital spokesman said Ballard’s family does not want any details released. Ballard was admitted to the same hospital in late May after problems with his blood-sugar level.
