Three suspects were arrested in the holdup of an Irvine woman who was robbed at gunpoint of her luxury car, jewelry and cash as she returned home early Wednesday.

An alert neighbor had seen a suspicious-looking car in the area and gave police the license number, which was traced to a residence in Lynwood, according to Sgt. Dick Bowman.

The 59-year-old woman was returning to her home about 2:20 a.m., when she was confronted in her garage by two men with handguns. After robbing her of jewelry and $200 in cash, the men left in her 1982 Cadillac, Bowman said.

Two officers were on their way to Lynwood when they found the Cadillac abandoned on the shoulder of the Long Beach Freeway near the Del Amo Boulevard exit, according to Bowman.

Then, while the officers waited outside the Lynwood residence, a woman and two men fitting the description of the robbers arrived about 6:15 a.m., Bowman said.

Arrested on suspicion of robbery were Mirna Luis, 22, Robert Luis, 30, and Ildefonso Luis, 27, all of Lynwood. The suspects--two brothers and a cousin--were being held on $25,000 bail each at Orange County Jail.
