San Diego
A Navy man sought in the fatal stabbing of his wife turned himself in to authorities in Idaho early Wednesday, a San Diego police spokesman said.
James Jensen, 30, surrendered to Ada County sheriff’s officials in Boise and is expected to be extradited to San Diego within a few days, police spokesman Dave Cohen said.
Jensen is suspected of having stabbed his wife, Tina Meyer Jensen, 30, to death shortly before midnight Monday in front of the couple’s mobile home at Miramar Naval Air Station.
The estranged couple argued before the stabbing occurred, Cohen said. Tina Jensen was taken by military ambulance to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Jensen’s stepfather, Rex McAlister, who lives in a Boise suburb, accompanied Jensen when he surrendered, Cohen said.
