A 3-year-old boy was killed Wednesday when the car he was in struck a motorcycle as the car was making an illegal U-turn in Southeast San Diego, police said.
The victim, Jairo Perez, 3, was pronounced dead at the scene on South 30th Street near Ocean View Boulevard, said a spokesman for San Diego police.
The motorcycle operator, whose identity was not immediately available, was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was listed in serious to stable condition, the police spokesman said.
The car’s driver, whose identity was also not available, was uninjured, the spokesman said. Police were questioning the driver, the spokesman said.
