Chessani Sets Colt World Series Record
Anthony Chessani, who batted .467 for Fillmore High as a freshman this season, earned the victory in the championship game of the Colt World Series last week while pitching for the Hart all-star team. Chessani notched three wins in the series to tie a Colt record shared by New York Mets pitcher Sid Fernandez and six others. Chessani tossed a seven-hitter in a 6-3 win over Caguas, Puerto Rico, as Hart earned the title.
