SOME HAPPY CAMPERS
Margo Kaufman, the Unhappy Camper, certainly made us roar with laughter and sympathy. Since we stopped backpacking some years ago, the daily essential elements for our perfect vacation have been the following: excellent meals cooked by someone else, climbs and hikes in a complete wilderness environment, a hot shower, a comfortable double bed and clean sheets. To come back after a 16-mile hike, shower, sit on the river bank with a chilled bottle of Chablis, watch a marmot family while waiting to be summoned to dinner is heaven!
Will we tell where it is? No!
