A man and a woman were found dead today in a house in Sierra Madre, the possible victims of a double homicide, authorities said. The bodies were found in separate bedrooms in a house on Liliano Drive, just south of Angeles National Forest, Police Chief Bill Betts said.

Police had gone to the house Tuesday after the male victim’s employer reported that he had not shown up for work. The house was locked, and no one answered the door. Officers went to reinspect the house today when the employer called again. Police used a window to enter the house, Sheriff’s Lt. Ken Chausse said. Officials declined to identify the victims or to comment in detail about how the two people were killed.
