Aaron Spelling has registered the equivalent of a 61.8% stake in his Los Angeles-based production company, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Spelling registered the stake in Aaron Spelling Productions Inc. in connection with a planned business combination with Cincinnati-based Great American Communications Co., a subsidiary of Worldvision, a distributor of television programming worldwide. The plan would subordinate both companies under a new holding company. Spelling Entertainment Inc. would own Aaron Spelling Productions and Worldvision Enterprises Inc. Spelling owns 10.5 million Series B common shares, equal to a like number of Class A common shares of the television series and movie producer.
