Amwest Insurance Group Registers Stock Shares
Amwest Insurance Group said it registered 890,120 shares of stock owned by the family of Chairman Richard H. Savage with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission so the shares may be offered for sale in the future.
The Woodland Hills company, which writes surety bonds, said the family has made no agreement to sell the shares. In a statement, Richard Savage said that registering the shares will allow the family to pledge them as collateral for loans unrelated to Amwest.
