Soviet hockey star Vladimir Krutov has been released by the Red Army and could begin negotiations with the Vancouver Canucks within two weeks, agent Mark Malcovich said.
Malcovich, who helped sign Soviet hockey star Igor Larionov, Krutov’s linemate, to a Canuck contract, said that Krutov got his release from the army Wednesday.
