Costa Mesa : Motorcyclist Injured After Hitting Pickup
A 31-year-old Huntington Beach motorcyclist was critically injured when he apparently went through a red light and hit a pickup truck broadside, police said Friday.
Matthew Snell was driving south on Newport Boulevard at about 10:58 p.m. when he went through the light at Fair Drive and struck a 1965 Ford pickup, the police said. He was taken to United Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was being treated for massive chest injuries, Costa Mesa Police Lt. Alan Kent said.
Police did not report whether the driver of the truck, Bruce Michael Parson, 40, of Anaheim, was injured.
