A Southern California pilot killed when his experimental plane crashed while trying to land at the airport in Eloy, Ariz., was identified as Theodore J. Monto, 42, of Hemet. Mono was killed Friday when wind flipped his plane as he attempted to land after diverting from Casa Grande because of high winds there. Police said there was no fire, but the plane landed on its back and its small bubble-like cockpit broke on impact.
