Moviegoers will have to wait until spring for Jack Nicholson’s “The Two Jakes,” the sequel to “Chinatown.” Paramount announced Tuesday that the film will not be ready for its planned December release and is now slated to hit the screens next spring. It will therefore be ineligible for Oscar nominations this year, as Paramount and producers Robert Evans and Harold Schneider had hoped.
