Bicyclist Crossing Street Struck, Killed
A bicyclist was struck and killed by a Jeep as he rode across a street in Canoga Park on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The man, whose name was not immediately available, died at the scene of the 8:10 p.m. accident in the 21100 block of Saticoy Street near Variel Avenue, Sgt. Mel Cunningham said. He was about 25.
The driver of the Jeep, whose name was not available, was not cited, Cunningham said. The bicyclist crossed the street between intersections and was not in a crosswalk, he said.
