FREEWAY SITES NEEDING REINFORCEMENT

Following is a list of freeway bridges, overpasses and other structures pinpointed by California Department of Transportation engineers as needing major earthquake reinforcement: Interstate 5: The Griffith Park on-ramp and off-ramp, the Riverside Drive undercrossing and the separation ramp at the Glendale Freeway.

Interstate 10: The separation ramp at La Cienega and Venice boulevards in Los Angeles, the pedestrian overcrossing at Evergreen Avenue in East Los Angeles, the pedestrian overcrossing at City Terrace Drive in Monterey Park and the pedestrian overcrossing at Marguerita Avenue in Alhambra.

57 Freeway: The connector from northbound 57 to the westbound 60 Freeway near the City of Industry.

60 Freeway: The pedestrian overcrossing at Cogswell Road in South El Monte, northbound and southbound connectors to the 605 Freeway, the pedestrian overcrossing at Riderwood Avenue in Hacienda Heights and the pedestrian overcrossing at Kwis Avenue in Hacienda Heights.

101 Freeway: In Ventura County, the pedestrian overcrossing at Ash Street and the overhead at Chestnut Street.

110 Freeway: The Elysian viaduct at the Golden State Freeway.

126 Freeway: The pedestrian overcrossings at Hill Road in Ventura County and Laurie Lane in Santa Paula.

134 Freeway: The northwest, northeast and south connectors to the Glendale Freeway and the Colorado Boulevard off-ramp overcrossing in Eagle Rock; the Los Angeles River bridge and overhead near Griffith Park; the pedestrian overcrossings at Columbus Avenue and Doran Street in Glendale, and the Orange Grove Boulevard overcrossing in Pasadena.

210 Freeway: The Michillinda Avenue undercrossing and the Santa Anita Avenue underpass, both in Arcadia; the pedestrian overcrossing at Broadland Avenue in Duarte; the Santa Fe Dam overhead at the 605 Freeway interchange, and the overcrossing from the westbound 210 to the southbound 605 in Irwindale.

Interstate 405: The west connector overcrossing in Long Beach at the 405 and the 710 Freeway separation, the Exposition Boulevard overhead near Sawtelle Boulevard on the Westside and the Vermont Avenue undercrossing near 190th Street in Los Angeles. Also on the Westside, the northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast connector overcrossings at the interchange of the 405 and the 10 freeways and the overcrossing from the southbound 405 to the eastbound 90 Freeway.

Interstate 605: The northbound 605 Freeway connector to the westbound 210 Freeway in Irwindale.

710 Freeway: The northwest connector overcrossing in Long Beach at the separation of the 405 and 710 freeways and two Los Angeles River bridges in Long Beach near the 91 Freeway.
